Sicher! Aktuell B2.1 Deutsch Als Fremdsprache Kursbuch Und Arbeitsbuch Lektion 1-6
Sicher! Aktuell B2.1 Deutsch Als Fremdsprache Kursbuch Und Arbeitsbuch Lektion 1-6 is the first half of the B2 volume of Sicher! aktuell, Hueber’s updated edition of its well-known German course: the combined coursebook and workbook for Lessons 1–6.
Sicher! built its reputation on clarity — grammar presented transparently, vocabulary trained systematically, and the four skills practised toward the Goethe B2 examination’s real demands. The aktuell edition refreshes texts and topics while keeping the architecture teachers trust: a Kursbuch for the classroom and an Arbeitsbuch that makes homework genuine training.
It is made for learners at B2 level in courses and self-study, especially candidates heading for the Goethe-Zertifikat B2, and for teachers who want one volume that carries both halves of the lesson.
B2 is where German stops being a school subject and becomes an instrument — for work, for study, for argument — and Sicher! aktuell is built for exactly that transition. This B2.1 volume covers the first six lessons of the level, pairing the Kursbuch’s texts, audio work and grammar presentations with the Arbeitsbuch’s dense practice apparatus: exercises that rehearse each lesson’s grammar and vocabulary until they can be used under examination conditions. The course’s hallmark is balance — reading and listening drawn from plausible real situations, speaking and writing trained in the genres the B2 certificate actually examines, and a vocabulary programme that treats word knowledge as a system to build, not a list to survive. As the updated edition, aktuell refreshes the content for today’s learners while preserving the transparent structure that made Sicher! a standard DaF course across language schools. For a B2 candidate, this single volume — lessons, practice, and exam orientation in one binding — is the first half of the road to the certificate.

About This Book
Sicher! aktuell is Hueber’s revised edition of the Sicher! German course; this B2.1 volume joins the Kursbuch and Arbeitsbuch for the B2 level’s first six lessons — classroom input and workbook practice in one volume, aimed squarely at learners progressing toward the Goethe-Zertifikat B2.
What Learners Will Practise
The B2 Core Skills
Reading, listening, speaking and writing trained at genuine B2 demand — longer texts, faster speech, structured argument — with the course’s characteristic clarity about what each task is training and why.
Grammar and Vocabulary Systems
B2 grammar presented transparently and then drilled in the Arbeitsbuch until it is usable, alongside a systematic vocabulary programme: word fields, collocations and the connectors that make B2 writing sound like B2.
Examination Orientation
Task types, strategies and practice oriented to the Goethe B2 examination’s formats, woven through the lessons rather than bolted on — candidates arrive at the exam having rehearsed its moves for months.
Key Features
The combined volume is the feature: coursebook and workbook for Lessons 1–6 in one binding, so class and homework never separate. The aktuell refresh is the second — current texts on a trusted frame — and the balance the third: skills, systems and exam craft in equal measure.
Who This Book Is For
It is for B2 German learners in Goethe and DaF courses, self-studiers following a structured path to B2, candidates for the Goethe-Zertifikat B2, and teachers of the Sicher! aktuell course.
How to Use This Book
Work lesson by lesson: Kursbuch in study time, Arbeitsbuch immediately after, while the lesson’s language is live — the pairing is the method. Keep a vocabulary notebook organised by the book’s word fields and review it weekly; B2 is won on vocabulary range. Time some Arbeitsbuch tasks as the exam would: fluency under the clock is a trainable skill, and this volume trains it.
